CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) and Junior Police Academy

CSI Camp is back! This program is for kids ages 13-17, where participants spend a week at the Corinth Police Department learning crime scene investigation techniques from Corinth police officers and fellow agencies!

This class will take place from July 15 through July 19, 2024. There will be a Mini Police Academy Camp from July 22 through July 26, 2024. Both camps will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Corinth Police Department - 3501 FM 2181 Suite A, Corinth, TX 76210.

Spend a week at the Corinth Police Department receiving instruction from various members of the department and fellow agencies. Teens will learn how to lift fingerprints, diagram a mock crime scene and cast a shoe print. Other aspects of law enforcement are shared with the teens from patrol work up to bomb squad responses. Members of the Denton County Sheriff’s Office, Denton County Emergency Services, Dallas Fort Worth Airport Police, DEA, Care Flight, and Lake Cities Fire Department are just some of the partners involved in bringing the program to the teens. 

Junior Police Academy  July 22-26, 2024 / 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

$85.00 Resident / $90.00 Non-Resident
Ages 13-17

Teens will be introduced to the different aspects of Police work from basic traffic stops, handcuffing/pat downs, building searches, all the way to court room testimony. Just like all recruits in the Police Academy, the teens will be put through simulated pursuit driving as well as simulated day at the shooting range. The weeklong Academy will introduce teens to what a Police Recruit will have to go through, until the day they graduate the academy and receive their agency’s badge.
 

Registration for both CSI Camp and the Junior Police Academy is $125.00.
 

Teens will need to be dropped off each day at the Corinth Police Department. They will need to bring a sack lunch and drink with them each day.
