The City of Corinth offers competitive salaries and benefits for regular, full-time employees, including:

Insurance

The City of Corinth provides medical, dental, life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance for employees at no cost. Dependents may be covered under these plans at group rates. The City also offers optional programs including voluntary vision, voluntary short-term disability, additional life and AD&D, and accident insurance along with a 401(a) program. All employees are covered by workers' compensation for injuries sustained in the line of duty.

Holidays

Employees receive eleven paid holidays (totaling 88 hours) per year.

Vacation

Less than five years service: 80 hours per year
Five years through nine years of service: 120 hours per year
Ten or more years of service: 160 hours per year

56 hour per week Fire Department employees:
Less than five years of service: 120 hours per year
Five years through nine years of service: 180 hours per year
Ten or more years of service: 240 hours per year

Sick Leave

Employees earn 96 hours of sick leave per year. Employees can accrue up to a maximum of 720 hours of sick leave. 56 hour per week Fire Department employees earn 144 hours of sick leave per year and can accrue up to a maximum of 1010 hours of sick leave.

Retirement

The City of Corinth participates in the Texas Municipal Retirement System. Employees contribute 7% of their salary to the program. Upon retirement, the City of Corinth will match the employee’s contribution two to one.

Deferred Compensation

The City of Corinth offers an optional deferred compensation 457 plan in which employees can contribute a portion of their salary, pre or post taxes, to a retirement account.

Direct Deposit

Employees may elect to have their bi-weekly paychecks automatically deposited to any bank requested.

Longevity

Employees who have been with the City of Corinth for at least six months receive $6 per month for every month worked.
