CORINTH WARRANT ROUND-UP SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 7

CORINTH WARRANT ROUND UP

Corinth, TX, February 18, 2020 - The Corinth City Marshal, Police Department and Municipal Court will conduct a Warrant Roundup on Saturday, March 7, 2020.  The roundup will seek to resolve outstanding warrants for Corinth Municipal Court.

"Anyone who has an outstanding warrant should make financial restitution or other arrangements with the court before the roundup begins," stated City Marshal Lance Stacy.  "Beginning on March 2, efforts will be made to arrest those individuals with unpaid traffic and non-traffic citations and warrants pending before the Corinth Municipal Court."

The roundup will include a grace period where anyone with outstanding warrants is encouraged to pay their fines. During this grace period, individuals will receive a waiver of the warrant fees.  The grace period will close on Friday, February 28, 2020.  Under Texas Law, individuals that appear before a court and make a good faith effort to resolve their outstanding Class C warrants are afforded safe harbor and not subject to arrest.

People with outstanding warrants are encouraged to contact the court or courts that issued their warrants in order to resolve their cases before they are arrested. Individuals can resolve outstanding warrants in Corinth online or contact the Municipal Court at court@cityofcorinth.com or 940-498-3201.
