POSITIVE WEST NILE SAMPLE IN CORINTH
CORINTH, TX, September 15, 2025 – The City of Corinth has confirmed that mosquito samples collected in the 3700 block of Corinth Parkway have tested positive for West Nile. These are the first positive mosquito samples found in the City this year.
Signs will be placed where the positive mosquito was collected to keep residents informed. The Public Works Department will continue weekly retesting in this location. For more information and to view the testing sample results, visit the City of Corinth Public Works webpage.
To keep yourself and your family safe from West Nile Virus, be sure to practice these prevention tips:
- Defend - Use a repellent with a CDC-recommended active ingredient such as DEET, Picaridin, IR3535, or Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus.
- Dress - Wear light-colored long-sleeved shirts and pants.
- Dusk/Dawn - Limit your outdoor activities between dusk and dawn when mosquitos are more prevalent.
- Drain - Take steps to control mosquitoes by dumping or covering standing water.
