LAKE CITIES FIRE DEPARTMENT TO HOST FIRE OPEN HOUSE
CORINTH, TX, September 25, 2025 – The Lake Cities Fire Department invites residents of all ages to its annual Fire Open House on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire House 3, 3750 Cliff Oaks Drive in Corinth.
This family-friendly, free event provides a behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations of the fire department while promoting community safety and preparedness. Guests will enjoy an exciting lineup of interactive activities, including:
- Live fire demonstrations showcasing how firefighters respond in real time.
- Fire safety presentations with practical tips for preventing household fires and protecting your family.
- Hands-on equipment displays, featuring fire trucks, protective gear, and rescue tools.
- Meet-and-greet opportunities with the dedicated firefighters and first responders who serve the Lake Cities community.
- Fun activities for kids, including the chance to climb aboard a fire engine, learn how to “stop, drop, and roll,” and take-home fire prevention materials.
“The Fire Open House is one of our favorite ways to connect with the community,” said Chad Thiessen, Lake Cities Fire Chief. “It’s a chance for families to learn about fire safety in a fun and interactive way while also building trust and relationships with the men and women who serve them.”
In addition to demonstrations and tours, the open house will also highlight Fire Prevention Month, encouraging families to check smoke detectors, review escape plans, and practice fire drills at home.
The Lake Cities Fire Department encourages residents to bring their neighbors, friends, and families for an engaging day of learning, safety, and fun.
