Lambert and Wilson

CORINTH, TX, March 2, 2023 - Fire Chief Chad Thiessen recently announced the promotion of Robert Lambert and Justin Wilson to Battalion Chief for the Lake Cities Fire Department. In their role as Battalion Chiefs, Robert and Justin will report to Assistant Chief Greg Ward and will focus on improving specialized areas of the Lake Cities Fire Department.

“These men have proven themselves as assets to this department,” shared Fire Chief Chad Thiessen, “and I am confident in their abilities to be strong leaders for the department and community.”

Robert Lambert is a 20-year member of the Lake Cities Fire Department. He began his career in June of 2002 and has worked through the ranks to become the first Battalion Chief in the Lake Cities Fire Department and is currently responsible for managing Training and EMS. Robert holds a Master Firefighter and Master Instructor certification and received his bachelor's degree in Emergency Services Administration in December of 2022. Robert manages the department's Personal Protective Equipment Program and all departmental computer programs for staffing and reporting. He is an adjunct instructor for the Specialty Rescue disciplines at Tarrant County College. Robert is also a member of Texas Task Force 2 as a rescue team manager and has been deployed on several large state disasters to assist with search and rescue. In the spring of 2023, he will join a small select group of individuals when he receives his USAR Rescue Specialist Certification from Texas A&M.

Justin Wilson was born and raised in Whitewright, TX. He attended Collin County Community College. While at Collin County he completed the Firefighter/Paramedic program and graduated in 1999. Justin is certified with the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as a Fire Instructor II, Fire Officer II and Advanced Structure Firefighter. He was hired by the Lake Cities Fire Department in January of 2000. For the past 17 years he has held the rank of Fire Captain. Justin and his wife Lacey have been married for 23 years. They have been blessed with three children, Reese, Ryder, and Cash.
