CORINTH, SHADY SHORES AND HICKORY CREEK PARTNER FOR ANIMAL SHELTER SERVICES

CORINTH, TX, September 23, 2022 – The City of Corinth, Town of Shady Shores and Town of Hickory Creek are proud to announce a partnership for animal services effective October 3.

Animals that are found, and subsequently impounded, will now be served by the Hickory Creek Animal Shelter located at 970 Main Street.  Wendy Withers, Town Administrator for the Town of Shady Shores stated, “We are excited to continue our partnerships with the nearby towns and are thankful to Hickory Creek for accommodating our needs for animal services.”

Residents from Corinth and Shady Shores are encouraged to call the Hickory Creek Animal Shelter directly if they have a missing dog or cat or to register your pet.  If you are the victim of or need to report an animal bite, please dial 911.

Corinth Interim City Manager Lee Ann Bunselmeyer stated “This partnership has allowed us to improve services for our residents and create efficiencies for the police department that manages animal services for our city.  We look forward to working with the dedicated staff at the Animal Shelter.”

Residents are invited to join Hickory Creek, Corinth and Shady Shores at a joint Arbor Day Celebration on November 5 from 9am to 12pm at the Hickory Creek Animal Shelter.  Tour the animal shelter, meet the animal shelter staff, and visit with representatives from all three cities.  Other activities will include a K-9 demonstration, hot dogs, and a rock-climbing wall.
