CORINTH LAUNCHES ONLINE RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT PLATFORM

LET'S TALK

Corinth, TX, November 14, 2019 - The City of Corinth is encouraging its residents to speak up through a new community engagement platform launched in November.

The “MyVoice. MyChoice. MyCorinth” webpage, found at mycorinth.com,  provides a variety of tools that make it easy for Corinth residents to voice their opinions, participate in community decisions, and provide ideas and feedback on a variety of topics affecting their community.

“For a community to thrive, it is important to listen to the needs and opinions of its residents on projects that are important to them” stated Bob Hart City Manager.  “However, with work and family commitments, the traditional ways of providing feedback, such as attending council or public meetings, may not be practical anymore.  This new platform will allow us to reach a broader audience to collect feedback and report back to the community as we make decisions.”

The launch of the new platform included the following three projects to inform, seek feedback, and engage with our residents.  More projects will be added in the coming months.

Let’s Talk Corinth:  Have you heard a rumor in the community or just curious about something going on in the City? We're here to help! The Let’s Talk project page was created to address the misinformation, or rumors that may float around about City policy, decisions, or other actions. This also includes general questions about services, projects, or upcoming events. We believe the best discussions will occur when community members possess all the necessary facts! So post your questions and a City Staff member will provide accurate and up-to-date information and answers.

Water Meter Review: The City of Corinth is in the process of conducting a comprehensive audit of all utility accounts to ensure the integrity of the system due to inconsistencies with the system transmitting water consumption to the billing software. Want to know if your account has been reviewed? This webpage includes important status updates about what neighborhoods have been through the audits, as well as progress in the troubleshooting of the system. We encourage residents to visit this page often to stay informed on the progress of this review.

Boat and RV Survey:  The Planning & Development department is seeking resident input and feedback regarding the parking of boats, trailers, and recreational vehicles on single family lots within the City of Corinth. The Survey will be available for public input through the end of December.

We welcome and appreciate all comments and questions on the site, as we work together to make Corinth a better place to live, work, and play. So connect, engage, and help the City Council and staff set the course for important projects taking place within your city!
