CORINTH OPENS APPLICATIONS FOR INAUGURAL CITIZENS ACADEMY

CORINTH, TX, August 19, 2025 – The City of Corinth is excited to announce the launch of its inaugural Citizens Academy, a free 8-week program designed to give residents an inside look at how their local government works.

Beginning September 9, this hands-on experience offers participants the chance to engage directly with City leaders, explore behind-the-scenes operations, and better understand how city services impact everyday life in Corinth. Sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m., through October 28, with dinner provided each week. The program concludes with a graduation ceremony on Thursday, November 6, prior to the City Council meeting. Participants must attend at least seven of the eight sessions to graduate. 

Eligibility & Enrollment

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and reside in the City of Corinth. Enrollment is limited to 20 participants, selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to individuals who have not served in elected or appointed roles within the city.

How to Apply

Applications are due by Friday, August 29. Selected applicants will be notified on Tuesday, September 2. Those not selected will receive priority for future sessions.
