PARKS AND REC BOARD SEEKING VOLUNTEERS

PARKS AND REC

Corinth, TX, August 15, 2019 - Would you like to help design and plan new city parks? Or how about providing recommendations on how to give our existing parks a facelift? If the answer is yes, then the Parks and Recreation Board is just for you! The City Council is seeking applicants for this brand new city board!

Applications will be accepted through August 31, 2019. Candidates must be registered to vote in Corinth, have been a resident for at least six months, and agree to serve a two-year term.

The Parks and Recreation Board serves as an advisory board only. The fundamental responsibilities are to study the recreation, park facilities, trail system and beautification programs of the City and recommend use of the City’s parks.  During the next six months the Parks Board will be developing the Parks and Trails Master Plan for the City.  The Master plan is a comprehensive vision for park system, individual parks, and open space areas.

If you are interested in serving in such capacity, please contact the City Secretary or fill out a Volunteer Application found on the City’s Website. Please visit the Boards and Commissions webpage to learn more about all the Boards and Committees.
