CORINTH WELCOMES DELEGATION FROM CAMBODIA

CAMBODIA

Corinth, TX, July 1, 2019 - The City of Corinth welcomes the Provincial Governor and his senior staff from the Kampong Speu Province in Cambodia. The delegation of eleven is scheduled to arrive on Monday, July 1st and will participate in training workshops and several community events in the Lake Cities area before departing on Sunday, July 7th. 
 
The delegation will be training with Corinth staff on Fire response and Fire Suppression; Transportation and Land Use Planning; Floodplain and Drainage. They will meet with managerial staff and talk about the different aspects of a successful government, and what it takes to work together as one.
 
"It is a privilege to host the delegates from the Kampong Speu Province in Cambodia," said Bob Hart City Manager. "We are honored to share our expertise and have them experience the warm hospitality from the Lake Cities. This will be such a wonderful opportunity for our staff and community.  We look forward to having a long lasting friendship with the delegation."
 
Some of the events the delegation will be attending include the Lake Cities Fire Department Badge Pinning & Wash Down Ceremony, a Friendship Tree Ceremony highlighting the bond between the two communities, and a luncheon featuring staff and elected officials from all four Lake Cities, welcoming this group to our little piece of Texas.
 
Located in the southern portion of the Indochina Peninsula in southeast Asia, the Kampong Speu Province of Cambodia is home to 762,500 people. The Province is divided into 7 districts and 1 municipality.
