Construction Updates
FM 2181

The contractor for FM 2181 has  completed pouring concrete on the two southern lanes. Traffic has been switched to travel on the new road. They are currently excavating on the north side. Temporary driveways for the north side traverse across the construction area. 

FM 2499
TXDOT has been awarded a construction contract. Construction has begun. The Contractor is cutting the future road down to grade.  

IH35
AGL Constructors are currently working to reconstruct the Corinth Parkway bridge. Traffic has been redirected to the new main lane overpass over Corinth Parkway. The AGL is also relocating the Cities 12 inch waterlines on the northbound frontage road at Corinth Parkway. Click here to view the latest update for the City of Corinth published by 35EXPRESS.

Tower Ridge Drive
The contractor is doing the final cleanup on this project.

Shady Rest Lane

Construction has begun and the City’s contractor is currently working to build the roadway section from Corinth Parkway to Walton Drive. The underground drainage system is underway between Walton Drive and Fritz Drive. The section between Walton Drive and Corinth Parkway has been opened.

Lake Sharon Drive Extension

The City’s consulting engineer has submitted the 90% design plans and the right-of-way documents have been completed.  

1.5 MG Water Storage Tank

The tank and yard piping is complete and the tank was filled with water. The contractor has to complete the perimeter fence and site cleanup.

Larkspur Phase II:
First Texas Homes, the homebuilder for the new 42 lot subdivision, currently has 25 new homes under construction.  Located just off of Oakmont Drive, the new community is highlighted by unique home designs, and lake and golf course views.
 
Parkside Farms:
Crews are constructing retaining walls for the new, 40 lot single-family community, located on the south side of Fritz Lane just west of Corinth Community Park.
 
Robinson Road Office Park:
The Planning and Development Department has been notified that plans for the fourth and final building at the office park, located at the northeast corner of State School Rd. and Robinson Rd., will be submitted for review later this year.

7-Eleven
The Planning Department received requests for a preliminary plat, final plat, and site plan for the proposed gas station at the SW corner of FM 2181 and FM 2499.  The application packets were missing some required information and will be reviewed once the packets are deemed complete.   
 

Huffines Auto Dealerships:
The Planning and Development Department has sent another round of review comments to the applicant in regards to their site plan, comprehensive plan amendment, and zoning change request.  The dealership is looking to relocate from its current location, next to Northstar Bank, to 14 acres along I35E—south of Meadows Oak Drive.  Their request goes before the Planning and Zoning Commission on 9/21.
 

Corinth Landings:

The first round of review comments of the zoning request, preliminary plat, and site plan have been completed and sent to the applicant.  The proposed development, which will be built on the Corinth Mini Storage and Chevron gas station site, consists of a hotel, gas station, and retail center.  The gas station shut its doors last week due to the TXDOT expansion project on I35.
