AGL Constructors are currently working to reconstruct the Corinth Parkway Bridge, the main lanes approaching the bridge, and the intersections of the service roads at Corinth Parkway. They expect to open one lane in each direction on Corinth Parkway between the north and south bound service roads and open the south to north U-turn by late 2015. Shady Rest Lane
After several weeks of encountering underground water and wet subgrade at Walton, the contractor was finally able to complete the subgrade preparation on the section from Walton to Corinth Parkway. They paved the east side on Wednesday, August 5. They will pave the other side this week and then compete the intersections at Walton and Corinth Parkway. Shady Rest from Walton to Corinth Parkway should be open to traffic by late August. The contractor will then begin working on the section from Walton to Fritz. They have storm sewer lines and retaining walls to build before beginning the subgrade or paving operations. This section will remain open to the residents who live along Shady Rest. All other traffic is requested to use North Corinth, Walton, and the south section of Shady Rest to access Corinth Parkway. The entire project should be completed by late fall.
