Construction Updates
FM 2181

The contractor for FM 2181 has completed pouring concrete on the two southern lanes. They are currently back-filling and setting up for sidewalks, retaining and intersections. The contractor will begin switching traffic to the new south side in three phases beginning on the west end by June 16. All traffic should be on the new south pavement by the end of July. The entire project should be completed by spring 2016.

FM 2499
Construction has begun from FM 2181 to Robinson. The contractor expects to open two way traffic on FM 2499 from FM 2181 to Potter in late July. They expect to have the entire project from Robinson to FM 2181 completed by spring 2016.

AGL Constructors are currently working to reconstruct the Corinth Parkway bridge. They expect to open Corinth Parkway between the service roads before the end of 2015. Check  35EXPRESS  to get the latest construction updates.

Tower Ridge Drive
The project is complete and open to traffic.

Shady Rest Lane

The contractor has begun excavating the section from Walton to Corinth and plans to have both sides of the road completed by early July. Traffic will be open for one way traffic southbound from Fritz To Corinth Parkway while the contractor constructs the northbound side. The project should be completed in the fall.

Lake Sharon Drive Extension

The City’s consulting engineer has submitted the 80% design plans and right-of-way documents. City staff has reviewed the plans and the engineer is revising the plans. We anticipate bidding the project in August.

1.5 MG Water Storage Tank

The tank is completed and in service. The contractor is working on the perimeter fence and site cleanup. 

Economic Development Update

The construction of several new businesses is underway in the City of Corinth. DATCU Headquarters, ALDI, Vista Academy Charter School, CVS, 7-11, and several other businesses will soon call Corinth home.


CVS Starts Construction

Located on the Northwest Corner of FM 2499, CVS has started construction on their new 12,900 square foot retail store.

7-11 Gets Approved

Located on the Southwest Corner of FM 2499 and FM 2181, 7-11 was granted approval from City Council for their Specific Use Permit for gasoline sales.
