PW1

Corinth Council voted unanimously on Thursday, November 15 to authorize Public Works director Cody Collier to proceed with 308 Construction Inc. to oversee renovations of the existing Public Works building located at 1200 North Corinth Street. The building, built in 1996, sits on roughly 8 acres owned by the City. Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2018 and should be completed by June 2019.

Plans for the renovation of the 4,300 square foot building includes a new roof, HVAC upgrades, flooring, ceilings, fixtures, elevation for exterior of the building, secondary exit for the second floor of the building, and renovation of the existing floorplans to better serve staffing needs.

The Public Works staff relocated to the old Police Headquarters located at 2003 Corinth Parkway on Monday, November 26th and will remain until the project is completed.

The Public Works Department consists of 38 full-time employees responsible for street maintenance and repairs, storm water maintenance, street lighting, maintenance of city parks, recreation, and maintenance of city water and sewer lines and lift stations.
