TxDOT IH35 AGL - The project is a 30 mile, $1.4 billion Design Build Project expansion of the IH-35E corridor from US 380 to IH 635 running through 9 cities.  All major items for the Corinth segment are nearing completion. Other items still pending final acceptance include:
•    The batch plant location has been demobilized from the location on the northbound frontage road south of Corinth Parkway.
•    Safety lighting between Post Oak and Swisher is now installed and is being tested prior to final acceptance.
•    The bridge painting is ongoing with touchup work and repairs still in progress. This work should be complete by the first of February.
•    Final grading is completed and bare areas will be stabilized against erosion until the ROW is completely vegetated.

Lake Sharon Extension –The Lake Sharon Drive project extends the existing roadway approximately 3,100 feet and includes paving, drainage, water line improvements and lighting construction along with signage and pavement markings. Construction commenced on November 6, 2017 and construction is expected to be completed in mid to late summer 2018. Work completed through the first part of December includes site preparation, clearing and demolition work between Oakmont and FM 2499. Installation of utilities and storm drains will continue through February of 2018. The utility subcontractor is currently installing inlet boxes and junction boxes for underground storm drains and reconnecting the city’s water supply connection to the ground storage tank at the Lake Sharon pump station. Preparation is underway for installing additional utilities and storm drainage infrastructure across the upper end of Lake Sharon. This phase of the construction is expected to commence at the beginning of February.

TxDOT FM 2499 - TxDOT is constructing a 6 lane divided road between FM 2181 and IH35. The project was contracted to Weber Construction.  Partial opening of the roadway was implemented in December 2017.  All main lanes are currently open between FM 2181 and Robinson Road. When fully open, the Robinson Road intersection will be controlled with a new traffic signal. A three-way stop is currently installed.  Additionally, FM2499 will be barricaded between Robinson Road and State School Road until the new signal at Robinson Road is operational or crossing guards for pedestrian traffic are implemented by the City of Denton during school hours. 1-northbound and 3-southbound lanes will be open between IH35E and State School Road.  TxDOT is currently estimating that the work on the signal will extend into April and possibly beyond.
