CORINTH PARTNERS WITH LAKE DALLAS FOR ANIMAL SHELTER SERVICES

Corinth and Lake Dallas Animal Services

The City of Corinth and the City of Lake Dallas are proud to announce their recent Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Animal Shelter Services in Lake Dallas. The City of Lake Dallas has agreed to assist the City of Corinth and their residents by allowing the use of the Lake Dallas Animal Shelter located at 687 N. Lakeview Drive.

Animals that are found, and subsequently impounded by the Corinth Animal Control Officer, will now be taken to the Lake Dallas Animal Shelter. Dan Carolla, Chief of Police for Lake Dallas, stated “We are excited to continue to enhance our relationships and partnerships with nearby cities and towns and are proud to have a facility that can accommodate the needs of both cities.”

The City of Corinth had previously partnered with the City of Denton for animal shelter services. However, the distant location of their new animal shelter was burdensome for Animal Control Officers and Corinth citizens alike. Corinth Police Chief, Debra Walthall, stated “We are looking forward to the efficiencies that have been created by this new partnership with Lake Dallas. Having an animal shelter closer to Corinth will make things much more convenient for all involved.”

If you live in Corinth and your animal is missing, you are encouraged to call the Lake Dallas Animal Shelter directly to determine if your animal has been found and impounded. Their telephone number is 940-497-7090. You can also find them online at http://www.lakedallas.com/148/Animal-Services
