NORTHBOUND I-35E MAINLANES SHIFT IN CORINTH

The northbound mainlanes of I-35E between Swisher Road/FM 2181 and Post Oak Drive are scheduled to shift east into their permanent alignment at 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 11.

The northbound exit ramp to Post Oak Drive reopens with this traffic change

WHERE: Northbound I-35E between Swisher Road and Post Oak Drive

 

CORINTH, Texas — The northbound mainlanes of I-35E between Swisher Road/FM 2181 and Post Oak Drive are scheduled to shift east into their permanent alignment at 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 11. 

When this traffic shift is complete, the following ramp configuration will be in place:

  • The northbound exit ramp to Corinth Parkway will shift north approximately 500 feet to its permanent location.
  • The northbound entrance ramp from Corinth Parkway will open in its permanent location just south of Post Oak Drive.
  • The northbound exit ramp to Post Oak Drive will open at its permanent location just north of Corinth Parkway.
  • The northbound exit ramp to Mayhill Road will shift south approximately 500 feet to its permanent location.

As part of this traffic shift, the following closures will be in place nightly from 9 p.m. Monday, April 10 until 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 11. These ramps will not be closed at the same time.

  • Various lanes of northbound Interstate 35E between the between Swisher Road/FM 2181 and Post Oak Drive.
  • The northbound exit ramp to Corinth Parkway. Traffic will take the northbound exit ramp to Swisher Road and continue on the frontage road to Corinth Parkway.
  • The northbound exit ramp to Mayhill Road. Traffic will use the exit ramp to Corinth Parkway and continue on the frontage road to Mayhill Road.

This work is related to the 35Express project, an expansion of I-35E between U.S. Highway 380 in Denton County and I-635 in Dallas County. All closures are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed, if necessary.
