The City of Corinth, Texas has adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 8.0 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $32.80.

The FY 2016-17 adopted budget lowers the property tax rate from the prior year rate of $0.58489 to $0.58193 per $100 of valuation

The FY 2016-2017 Annual Program of Services and 2016 tax rate was adopted by the City Council on September 15, 2016. Prior to adoption, the City Council held two public hearings on the tax rate and one public hearing on the budget allowing interested taxpayers the opportunity to provide feedback on the tax rate and annual budget.
