OPENING OF TURBEVILLE ROAD/HUNDLEY DRIVE AND PERMANENT CLOSURE OF THE SOUTH DENTON DRIVE BRIDGE

The new Turbeville Road/Hundley Drive extension is scheduled to open with one lane in each direction at 9 p.m. Friday, July 29. The partial opening will replace the North Denton/Lake Dallas Drive demolished in October 2015.

Immediately after Turbeville Road/Hundley Drive opens, the South Denton/Lake Dallas Drive bridge will permanently close. The bridge will be demolished this fall and is the final bridge demolition of the 35Express Project.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE NORTHBOUND I-35E ENTRANCE RAMP FROM CORINTH PARKWAY

The northbound I-35E entrance ramp from Corinth Parkway will close for approximately three months at 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 22. While the ramp is closed, drivers will continue northbound to the entrance ramp from Post Oak Drive.

This work is related to the 35Express project, an expansion of I-35E between U.S. Highway 380 in Denton County and I-635 in Dallas County. All closures are subject to weather conditions and may be postponed, if necessary.

The 35Express project extends approximately 30 miles, through eight cities and two counties, from US 380 in Denton County to I-635 in Dallas County.

The Design-Build project is expected to relieve traffic congestion in one of the most heavily traveled corridors in the North Texas region.
