The strategic planning process is a leadership activity that is used to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, and to ensure that employees and stakeholders are working toward common vision. A Strategic Plan begins with the end-goal or vision and translates the vision into defined goals and objectives. It is designed to establish agreement around intended outcomes/results, and assess and adjust the organization's direction in response to a changing environment.
The 2014-2018 City of Corinth Strategic Plan is shaped by the City's vision and mission statements, and is the result of the elected officials and professional City staff working together to identify, analyze, and prioritize goals and objectives for City services.
The five-year Strategic Plan was developed in 2014 and is updated annually. The specific areas identified in the long-term strategic plan include: Governance & Management, Places & Spaces, Safety & Security, and Economic Development.
