Corinth Economic Development Corporation

The Corinth Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), a Type B Corporation established by local option election, is a nonprofit corporation managed by a Board of Directors to promote economic development, job creation and a high quality of life in Corinth. The CEDC works closely with the Mayor and City Council to develop a shared vision for economic growth and sustain a positive business environment. The CEDC shall have, and exercise all of the rights, powers, privileges, authority and functions given by the general laws of Texas to nonprofit corporations by the Texas Nonprofit Corporation Act, Tex. Civ. Stat. Ann. Art. 1396-1.01 et. seq., and the additional powers as provided in Section 4B of the Development Corporation Act of 1979.

  5 regular members plus 2 Council representatives 

Term of Office:

2 year term with no member permitted to serve more than 2 consecutive terms

Mission Statement

The mission of the City of Corinth’s Economic Development Corporation is to continually expand our property and sales tax base, encourage creation of jobs, promote tourism, improve the quality of life, and facilitate a self-sustaining local economy for the City by attracting, assisting, and retaining a diversified mix of businesses, public/private partnerships, and infrastructure improvements as well as investing in our own community needs to foster growth and encourage tourism trade.
