Unified Development Code
In 2010, The City of Corinth approved its first complete Comprehensive Plan . With much help from area residents and area stakeholders, the Committee was able to formulate a plan that best suits the City for future growth.
What is the Unified Development Code? The Unified Development Code or UDC is comprised of all of the development ordinances such as zoning, subdivision regulations, fencing, landscaping, and signage that developers, contractors, or other trades must follow before building in the City. These standards ensure that the development of our City follows the adopted Comprehensive Plan.
On May 2, 2013, the City of Corinth adopted the Unified Development Code (the UDC) and a revised Zoning Map. The UDC is intended to ensure that future development occurs in a well-planned, attractive and coordinated manner, for the health safety and welfare of Corinth Citizens. You should know:
The UDC provides that property owners may continue all existing uses and structures of property that are permitted under the former Zoning Ordinance as long as they continue to be used and they are registered with the City by May 2, 2014.
