Welcome
The Lake Cities Fire Department (LCFD) strives to provide the highest level of professional service to its residents, while creating an atmosphere of community service, and promoting interaction between citizens groups and public safety professionals in the Metroplex area. LCFD is a combination department consisting of 40 full-time firefighters, paramedics and administrative personnel and 5 volunteers. They currently operate out of two stations: Fire Station No. 1 is located on Main Street in Lake Dallas and Station 2 is located behind Bill Utter Ford on Shady Shores Road in Corinth. As the area continues to grow, a third and fourth station are being planned. Land has been purchased on the corner of Oakmont Drive and Lake Sharon and just south of Parkridge and FM 2181 on Parkridge for the two future stations. LCFD's Public Protection Classification (PPC) has moved from a 6 to a 4 (on a scale of 1-10, 1 being the best – 10 being the worst). This rating is determined by the Insurance Services Office (ISO) to reflect our community’s fire suppression and control resources and is the system numerous insurance companies use to calculate individual property insurance premiums. We consider your family our family. Whether you are a resident, business owner, or a visitor, our goal is to take care of you as if you were a member of our family. We would like to offer an invitation for you to visit any of our firehouses. If I can be of any additional service to you, on behalf of the Lake Cities Fire Department, please contact me. Respectfully,
Curtis Birt Fire Chief 940-321-2141
